Approximately 30% of the 107 research Fellows Dr. Nichols worked with while at the National Institutes of Health and Georgetown University received federal funding (primarily NIH) for their research protocol, while another 50% received university or private funding. Over 50% of Fellows had their research manuscript accepted for publication in a peer reviewed journal with in one year following the completion of their research study. Dr. Nichols is an experienced author with demonstrated expertise in working with journal editors and publishers. She is author/editor of five texts, three of which received the American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year Award, and has written numerous articles.
